Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Bring your expertise as a bilingual (Spanish) School Psychologist to a dynamic educational setting in the greater Bridgeport, CT area. This contract opportunity covers the 2026-2027 academic year, offering consistency and the rewarding chance to support students' well-being from August through May. With a focus on serving a diverse school community, you'll play a pivotal role in fostering positive outcomes for students across various grade levels.
Qualifications:
Current CT Educator Certificate required Proficiency in Spanish and English; able to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff Experience working with students of varying ages and backgrounds Ability to adapt to diverse caseloads and school environments Skilled in assessment, intervention, and counseling techniques Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and documentation abilities
Responsibilities:
Administer psychological and academic assessments Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to design and implement individualized education plans Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation services to support students' social-emotional growth Maintain thorough, confidential records compliant with state and federal regulations Guide teachers and parents on strategies for managing challenging behaviors and promoting positive dynamics Engage in prevention and intervention initiatives for students' mental health Facilitate communication among stakeholders to ensure inclusive, equitable support for all students This full-time, onsite role provides 30-32.5 hours per week through the academic year, allowing you to make a lasting impact on students' educational journeys.
