Job Description

The Christian Counseling Center (C.C.C.) was founded in 1981 to provide qualified, professional counseling for the people in the greater Danbury area. Our therapists are professional clinicians and committed Christians dedicated and sensitive to the emotional and spiritual needs of each client. The C.C.C. is a private, non-profit inter-denominational organization. We recognize that not all who seek help hold the same beliefs. Our commitment is to the community as a whole and as trained professionals we provide clinical treatment to anyone seeking help.
Responsibilities :
Provide professional counseling services to clients to help them express, and discuss issues and emotions to develop insight into themselves and their relationships. Guide clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with problems and issues. Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports. Collaborate with other staff and supervisors to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans. Refer clients or family members to community resources or specialists as necessary. Evaluate the effectiveness of counseling interventions and the client's progress toward resolving identified issues and moving towards defined objectives. Attend bi-weekly office meetings. Participate in Supervisory sessions with the Director or Assistant.
Qualifications :
Must be licensed in CT with an LPC, LCSW or higher license. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Capacity to engage a wide range of clients in hopeful, empathic relationships. Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions. Comprehensive knowledge of theories and interventions related to clinical practice. Available for evening and some weekend hours.
