Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding and dynamic environment supporting students' social, emotional, and academic success as a School Psychologist in Connecticut. Your expertise in psychological assessment, interventions, and counseling will strengthen the school community and promote student well-being. Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Current School Psychologist certification/license in Connecticut Master's or higher degree in School Psychology from an accredited program Experience working with diverse student populations in an educational setting Strong skills in psycho-educational evaluations, report writing, and interpretation of results Knowledge of special education processes, IEP development, and legal requirements Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and build relationships with students and families
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct individual and group assessments to identify academic and behavioral needs Develop and implement intervention strategies to support students' educational progress Consult with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student learning and behavior Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed Maintain thorough, confidential documentation of services and progress
