Job Description

Category Schools - BCBA Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic and supportive educational setting as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) working with elementary and middle school students. This contract opportunity allows you to utilize your expertise across two nearby schools, supporting grades K-5 and 6-8. With a manageable caseload of approximately 40 students—each classroom having 5-6 students—you'll help shape the environment for meaningful behavioral change alongside a collaborative team. As a valued member of the behavioral support staff, you'll enjoy robust resources including two experienced social workers, multiple behavior technicians (BTs), registered behavior technicians (RBTs), and dedicated special education teachers. Your critical role focuses on providing effective guidance and shaping best practices for the staff.
What You'll Bring:
Active BCBA certification required Experience in school-based settings, preferably with K-8 populations Strong skills in conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs) Proficiency in training and mentoring BTs/RBTs Exceptional communication and consultative abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Train and support BTs in implementing behavior intervention plans Conduct FBAs to guide data-driven interventions Consult with educational staff, ensuring consistency in behavioral approaches Develop strategies in partnership with social workers and special educators No 1:1 sessions with students—your focus will be leadership, coaching, and oversight This is an excellent opportunity to make an impact without a direct caseload, allowing you to mentor, problem-solve, and contribute to a positive school environment at both sites.
