Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract opportunity for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year as a school psychologist, providing essential support to K-12 students in a vibrant educational setting. Starting August 2026 and extending through May 2027, you'll play a vital role onsite, collaborating closely with educators, families, and staff to nurture an environment where every student can thrive. Ideal candidates should bring expertise in conducting psychological assessments, developing interventions, and consulting on best practices to address students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. As a trusted resource for staff and parents, your knowledge and compassionate approach will help support students throughout a transformative year.
Key Qualifications:
Valid School Psychologist certification (state-issued) Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field Experience with K-12 populations strongly preferred Ability to administer, score, and interpret educational and psychological assessments Strong communication and interpersonal skills Adaptability and commitment to fostering inclusive educational practices
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify students' learning and behavioral needs Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs and 504 Plans Deliver direct counseling, intervention, and crisis response services Consult with teachers and parents to recommend classroom strategies and supports Maintain timely, accurate documentation according to ethical and legal standards This onsite position offers the chance to make a real impact, working full-time in a supportive academic environment near Lake Placid, FL.
