REQUIREMENTS
1. Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or related field 2. Florida License as Psychologist, current and in good standing 3. Three (3) years of experience in treating children/adolescent and adult clients preferred. 4. Specialization in early identification, screening, diagnosis, and treatment of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related neurodevelopmental/intellectual disorders from six and up. 5. Extensive experience in providing psychotherapy and related services to clients/families diagnosed with autism, intellectual disabilities, and neurodevelopmental disorders. 6. Experience with psychological testing administration and interpretation, including ASD assessment and diagnosis 7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution. 8. Strong organizational and time-management skills 9. Prior experience in a supervisory capacity providing direct individual and group supervision and in the review of clinical documentation and treatment plans is preferred. 10. Spanish knowledge and able to communicate with patients, preferred. 11. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provides services that respect the varied identities people have based on race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, gender and gender identification, religion, spirituality, and mental, emotional and physical differences in abilities. 2. Work collaboratively in multidisciplinary medical/clinical team to provide integrated and holistic care in patient evaluation and treatment. 3. Develops appropriate treatment plans and clinical/rehabilitative strategies in a timely manner based on client's diagnosis, clinical presentation, and necessity and documented on the client's electronic record. 4.
Manages crisis situations which includes:
performing crisis intervention services, completion of required documentation for involuntary placement, and arranging transportation of clients to the appropriate receiving facility, as applicable and as per program requirements. 5. Monitor and record treatment goal outcomes and overall progress of the client/family to determine treatment approaches and/or changes in the therapeutic approach. 6. Apply supervision effectively to increase professional growth as well as the quality and fidelity of treatment models. 7. Provide advocacy support and care coordination to address family needs and maximize treatment gains.
SUPERVISING/TEACHING RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintain professional responsibility for trainees' work and be able to determine trainees' capability of providing competent and safe psychological services. 2. Provide clinical supervision weekly to assigned trainees and be available for consultation and mentorship. 3. Monitor progress of trainee performance with evaluations, supervision logs, and other. 4. Participate in education and training activities, including committee meetings, faculty development, seminars/conferences, curriculum development, trainee selection, quality improvement, and re-accreditation processes. 5. Utilize appropriate and culturally sensitive skills in assessing qualifications and abilities of current and prospective trainees.
