Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role supporting student success as a bilingual School Psychologist in a contract position near Miami, FL. This opportunity is ideal for professionals fluent in both English and Spanish who are passionate about fostering positive educational experiences for diverse student populations. You'll partner with a collaborative school team, complementing an existing in-house psychologist and providing critical expertise for students and families who prefer services in Spanish. This contracted role is structured as a part-time commitment with the possibility to grow into a full-time placement, allowing for flexibility and professional development as the school's needs evolve.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist Fluency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to effectively communicate and provide services in both languages Prior experience in an educational setting, performing assessments, counseling, and consultation Strong understanding of multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and the evaluation process for students with special needs Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, especially in multicultural environments
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments in both English and Spanish Deliver culturally responsive counseling and consultation for students, teachers, and families Participate in IEP and eligibility meetings, providing insights on student progress and needs Collaborate with the in-house school psychologist and multidisciplinary teams to design and implement interventions Promote positive mental health, behavior support, and academic outcomes through preventative and responsive services Ready to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic, supportive environment?
