Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a contract school psychologist in a vibrant learning community near Opa Locka, FL. This unique opportunity is specifically suited for a bilingual (English and Spanish) professional ready to deliver high-quality services and help bridge communication gaps for students and families. While our supportive team includes an established in-house school psychologist, your fluency in both languages will bring crucial additional support to our diverse student population. This role starts as a part-time engagement, with the possibility to expand to a full-time contractor position as you become an integral member of our collaborative environment. As the new school year (NSY) approaches, your expertise will be valued in helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field Valid state credential/licensure to practice as a School Psychologist Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish—required Experience working in educational settings, preferably with multicultural or multilingual student groups Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to assess, counsel, and advocate for students across K-12
Key Responsibilities:
Complete student assessments and psychoeducational evaluations Deliver culturally responsive counseling and intervention strategies Partner with teachers, administrators, and families to support academic and behavioral plans Provide crisis intervention and behavioral management as necessary Maintain thorough and confidential records in accordance with school and district policies Participate in team meetings and IEP/504 plan development Ready to make a difference?
