Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students as a School Psychologist within a vibrant district on Florida's beautiful southeast coast. This on-site position begins August 5th, 2026 and runs through June 1st, 2027, offering a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week (7 hours a day, Monday through Friday) across three schools likely including Ft. Pierce, Westwood Pre-K, and Northport K8. Leverage your skills in meetings, testing, and counseling to deliver meaningful services for a diverse range of students from pre-K through 8th grade. The district is known for its streamlined interview and onboarding process, so your expertise will soon have a positive impact. Qualifications & Experience Active School Psychologist license through the Florida Department of Health is required Previous experience in school-based psychological services preferred Strong foundation in testing, counseling, and conducting multi-disciplinary meetings Comfortable managing a dynamic caseload spanning several campuses Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities Fingerprinting required (potential to use existing DOH prints) Key Responsibilities Conduct psychological and academic assessments Participate in eligibility, IEP, and other student support meetings Provide individual and group counseling to support student well-being Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and implement effective interventions Provide guidance on behavioral and learning challenges Balance caseload needs across three designated campuses Enjoy professional autonomy, collaborative colleagues, and the opportunity to make a difference for students in a supportive educational setting.
