This classification may also apply to individuals who hold a Doctorate of Medicine and are enrolled in programs at affiliated hospitals and institutes for the purpose of obtaining additional clinical training before embarking on independent careers as physicians. Provides culturally responsive, evidence-based, short-term and brief therapy interventions, treatment planning, and case management services. Utilizes psychological testing and assessment as needed for clinical or educational purposes. Participates in the practice and development of clinically effective group interventions. Assesses presenting concerns through the Center's intake and assessment process. Provides crisis intervention at primary, secondary, and tertiary levels, including involuntary hospitalization, USF community consultation, and post-incident debriefing.
D in counseling, clinical, or school psychology and at least one year of clinical experience in a Collegiate mental health setting is preferred. Experience in Collegiate Mental Health providing clinical, outreach and training services to college students and graduate trainees preferred. Prior administrative experience, including policy and program development, implementation and evaluation is helpful. Knowledge of Collegiate Student Mental Health issues and trends. Working knowledge of college and university systems. Working knowledge of current college students' unique challenges and strengths preferred. Training:
Receives supervision and training within the post-doctoral fellowship program including individual supervision, group supervision, and didactic seminar. May participate in a part-time specialized training opportunity in summer pending program approval. Works under the supervision of licensed clinical providers and administratively reports to the Assistant Director for Training. Attends Counseling Center clinical team meetings, staff meetings, and professional development trainings. May serve on internal committees within the counseling center. Develops and participates in Counseling Center sponsored psycho-educational and prevention programs for the university community. Provides psychological consultation to the USF faculty, staff, students and families and when necessary is involved in crisis response activities.Minimum:
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution and appropriate experience and training within a selected area of specialization. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Postdoctoral Scholar.Preferred:
