School Psychologist Requirements:

Graduate Degree (M.A., Ed.

S., M.S. Ed., Ph.D., Ed.

D., or Psy.

D.) in psychology, social work, or counseling. School Psychologist Certificate in the state of Georgia Must be able to obtain, and hold, a valid Georgia Department of Public Safety Level One IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card at all times. 2+ years of relevant experience Must possess strong communication and organizational skills. Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.

Essential Functions:

Consult and collaborate with school staff, parents, and outside agency personnel regarding psycho-educational needs of middle school students Conduct assessments of children, as deemed appropriate Promote educational success and advocate for the academic and mental needs of students

Salary:
