School Psychologist | Lithonia, Georgia Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Lithonia, GA Job Details Contract 3 days ago Qualifications Practicing as a school psychologist Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Qualifications and Experience:
Master's or specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program Valid certification or licensure for school psychology in Georgia Strong understanding of
RTI/MTSS
frameworks and special education processes Prior experience in a K-12 school setting highly preferred Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families Commitment to creating a positive, inclusive school climate
Responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational assessments for students referred for academic, behavioral, or emotional concerns Participate in eligibility, IEP, and student support team meetings, offering expertise to guide instructional and behavioral interventions Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to support student success Provide crisis intervention and short-term counseling, as needed Engage families through proactive communication and consultation Maintain detailed records, reports, and compliance with state and federal regulations Contribute to professional development for staff as it relates to psychological services and interventions As a valued partner in the educational process, your insights and guidance will help foster a safe, supportive atmosphere where every student can thrive.
