Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school psychologist opportunity is available for a travel position based in Sioux City, IA. The role involves providing psychological services to students in school settings, supporting educational and mental health needs to foster academic achievement and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' learning and behavioral needs Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to support students' social and emotional development Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support comprehensive student care Maintain accurate records and comply with legal and ethical standards in school psychology
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist Experience conducting assessments and delivering interventions in educational settings Strong knowledge of psychological testing, behavioral strategies, and special education laws Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to adapt quickly to different school environments while traveling
