Job Description
Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract A full-time, on-site School Psychologist role is available for the 2026-2027 school year in Chicago Heights, IL. This position supports two elementary schools, serving students with emotional and autistic support needs in a collaborative, student-focused environment.
Responsibilities include:
Coordinating and scheduling functional behavioral assessments and evaluations Developing, implementing, and monitoring behavior intervention plans and individual education plans (IEPs) Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to support students with emotional and behavioral challenges Evaluating the effectiveness of behavioral strategies and making data-driven adjustments Providing expert guidance and support to classrooms with specialized needs, including Autistic Support and Emotional Support programs Qualifications and desired experience: Certification or licensure as a School Psychologist Experience working with behavioral assessments and interventions in school settings Knowledge of special education laws and the development of IEPs Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams Strong communication and organizational skills Schedule and location details: Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. On-site work at two elementary school locations: Evergreen Elementary and South Elementary Start date: August 17, 2026 This contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting diverse student populations with specialized behavioral and emotional needs.
