Job Description

at Department of Human Services in Chicago, Illinois, United States Job Description Position Overview Under general direction of the Director of Psychology, provides psychological services on an assigned unit or units. Services include psychological testing (e.g., personality, cognitive, neurocognitive); treatment         (individual, group and family therapies), behavioral analysis and creation of behavior modification programs; program development and consultation. Provides fitness restoration services for UST consumers, written court reports including status updates and privilege increase requests and testifying in criminal court regarding privilege increases. Functions as Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional ( QIDP ) for consumers with mental illness and intellectually disability. Interviews and evaluates consumers to assess need for involuntary hospitalization, completes certificates or petitions for involuntary admission and testifies as expert witness in mental health court as indicated. Ensures compliance with Joint Commission standards and other agency goals standards and objectives. Participates as a member of the treatment team at Chicago-Read Mental Health Center. Maintains treatment records and other documentation. Participates in aggression management training and assists in managing aggression. Essential Functions Provides psychological services on an assigned unit or units. Participates as a member of the treatment planning process. Provides fitness restoration services for consumers who are Unfit to Stand Trial ( UST ), writes court reports for forensic consumers (status updates and privilege increases) and testifies in criminal court regarding privilege increases.  Maintains treatment records and To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
