Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic role supporting students' growth and well-being in a collaborative, building-based environment conveniently situated near Chicago, IL. This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to work directly with early childhood through 5th-grade students across three school buildings from August 17 to June 5. You'll be part of a dedicated team that values diverse skills and backgrounds and thrives on creating inclusive spaces for learning and development. Utilize your expertise as a School Psychologist to conduct comprehensive assessments, schedule and facilitate meetings, and support children with a broad range of disabilities. Each day presents the fulfilling challenge of working with young learners, their families, and educational staff to foster success across academic, emotional, and social domains. Strong communication skills, adaptability, and cultural competency will ensure you make a lasting difference.
Qualifications:
Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred Experience supporting students from Early Childhood to 5th grade Proficient in conducting evaluations, assessments, and student support services Excellent skills in scheduling and facilitating meetings Ability to respond effectively to a variety of needs and disabilities Bilingual abilities in Spanish, Polish, or Arabic are highly desirable
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative psychological services Schedule and facilitate meetings between staff, families, and outside providers Conduct assessments and evaluations to guide educational programming Collaborate with educators to develop intervention strategies Maintain thorough, confidential documentation Foster positive relationships with students and families This is an engaging, school-year contract with a consistent weekday schedule of 6.5 hours each day.
