Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding full-time contract opportunity as a School Psychologist, serving students throughout the 2026-27 academic year. This position offers a meaningful chance to impact either junior high (7th-8th grade) or elementary (K-4) learners, supporting their development and providing vital psychological expertise within a collaborative educational environment.
Qualifications and Professional Experience:
Holds certification and experience as a School Psychologist. Familiarity with Illinois regulations and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Demonstrated proficiency in the MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) process. Deep understanding of special education evaluation timelines, progress monitoring, and manifestation determinations. Skilled at efficiently scheduling and facilitating domain meetings, Eligibility Determination Conferences (EDCs), and Annual Reviews (ARs). Strong working knowledge of developing and implementing IEPs, 504 Plans, Domain Sheets (DS), and MTSS documentation. Assessment and systems experience with Q-global, FastBridge, and Google Docs.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological evaluations, assessments, and re-evaluations for referred students in line with special education mandates. Consult with staff and parents to address academic, behavioral, and mental health needs. Guide and support the implementation of MTSS interventions and services. Lead and participate in domain meetings, EDCs, and ARs to ensure compliance and best practices. Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to develop student-centered strategies.
Position Details:
Assignment Duration:
August 18, 2026, through June 4, 2027. Full-time schedule at 35 hours per week. Structured support for onboarding and ongoing collaboration.
