Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract A contract position is available for a skilled professional with expertise in school psychology and applied behavior analysis. This role is based in Elgin, IL, providing an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a school setting through the evaluation, support, and development of students' educational and behavioral needs.
Key qualifications and experience:
Licensed or certified School Psychologist with experience conducting assessments and providing interventions. Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential preferred or relevant experience in applied behavior analysis. Ability to develop individualized education and behavior plans in collaboration with educators, families, and other professionals. Strong knowledge of special education laws, psychological testing, and data-driven intervention strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a school environment.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting psychological evaluations, behavioral assessments, and observations to identify student needs. Designing and implementing behavior intervention plans and monitoring progress. Consulting with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success. Participating in multidisciplinary meetings to develop individualized education programs (IEPs). Providing guidance and training to staff on behavior management and psychological practices. Maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with district and legal requirements.
