Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students and support their growth by stepping into a contract position as a School Psychologist near Elgin, IL. You'll collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to identify student needs and implement effective interventions.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field Valid School Psychologist certification or eligibility for certification Experience in providing psychoeducational assessments and evaluations Skilled in counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention techniques Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education laws Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities Ability to work well both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students' cognitive, academic, and socio-emotional strengths and needs Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop personalized education plans Provide direct counseling services and intervention strategies for students Consult with teachers and staff on behavior management and learning strategies Facilitate and support the
RTI/MTSS
