Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make an impact in the educational journey of students as a School Psychologist in a vibrant school community near Evanston, IL. This contract opportunity allows you to support student well-being, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and use your expertise to foster positive learning environments.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program Valid state certification as a School Psychologist Experience providing assessments, counseling, and intervention services in school settings Strong understanding of special education processes and legal compliance Excellent communication, consultative, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively with students, families, educators, and outside agencies Compassionate, student-centered approach to mental health and advocacy
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to identify students' needs Provide individual and group counseling services, addressing social-emotional and behavioral challenges Develop and participate in implementation of intervention strategies Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families during Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings Offer crisis intervention and consultation for school staff and parents Promote safe, inclusive, and supportive school climates Contribute to staff development and school-wide initiatives focused on mental health A typical workday will bring variety, professional growth, and the rewarding feeling of making a difference in students' lives.
