Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year in several vibrant Illinois communities. This position is ideal for passionate and dedicated School Psychologists looking to make a meaningful impact across diverse school environments. You'll collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families to help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This full-time contract spans 37.5 hours per week from August 3, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with placements in neighborhoods such as East Aurora, Algonquin, Carpentersville, and Hampshire. You'll work with a broad spectrum of students, delivering comprehensive psychological services and contributing to school-wide initiatives.
Qualifications:
Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL), School Psychology endorsement K-12 Master's Degree in School Psychology Experience working within K-12 settings Strong ability to collaborate with staff, students, and families Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills welcomed, but not required
Key Responsibilities:
Complete student assessments, eligibility determinations, and evaluations in line with state regulations Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 Plans Provide counseling and consultation to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs Lead or participate in intervention planning, crisis response, and data-driven problem-solving Support efforts to build positive school climates and provide professional development as needed
