Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract If you're ready to make a meaningful impact in schools near Joliet, IL, this contract opportunity offers a chance to support students' academic success and social-emotional growth. Working a steady 35-hour workweek, you'll provide critical expertise and guidance as part of a dedicated education team, contributing during school hours from 7:30am to 2:30pm.
Ideal Qualifications and Experience:
Current credentials as a School Psychologist or eligibility for licensure in Illinois Experience in school-based evaluation and intervention Familiarity with special education assessments and procedures Strong collaborative skills for participation on school support teams (MTSS or similar) Data analysis capabilities to interpret student progress and shape learning plans Understanding of social-emotional learning frameworks is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive special education evaluations to identify students' strengths and needs Participate as an active member of the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) team Analyze academic and social-emotional learning data to inform team decisions and student supports Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to design effective interventions Contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes and multidisciplinary meetings Support data-driven problem solving at the classroom, grade, and whole-school levels This position is tailored for those who thrive in a collaborative school environment and wish to make a tangible difference through direct student evaluations and support team engagement.
