Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth in a full-time contract role for the 2026-2027 school year. This opportunity centers on delivering psychological services across both a middle school and a kindergarten building, offering variety in your daily work and a chance to collaborate with a diverse age range of students and educators. The assignment is conveniently located near New Lenox, IL, and starts August 18, 2026.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist in Illinois Experience working in educational settings, preferably at both elementary and middle school levels Strong understanding of psychological assessment, intervention, and counseling practices in a school environment Excellent communication, consultation, and collaboration skills Ability to efficiently manage a caseload across multiple buildings Familiarity with federal and state special education laws and documentation requirements
Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and assessments to support students' individual education programs (IEPs) and 504 plans Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support services to students Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to promote student well-being and learning Develop and implement intervention strategies for students with academic or behavioral challenges Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide professional insight on student needs Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and legal guidelines You'll have the chance to build strong relationships with both students and staff in two supportive school communities while furthering your expertise across different grade levels.
