Neuropsychology Technician

Neuropsychology Technician Traveling between IL offices will be required for the position as this technician will float between offices and providers.

A Little About Us:

Thomson Memory & Attention, formerly Thomson Memory Center, opened in 2008 and continues to be a private neuropsychology practice with 8 locations throughout the Chicagoland area. We are currently looking for neuropsychology technicians that float between our Illinois offices, so travelling between offices is required. The primary locations will vary based on provider schedule, but you must be willing to travel. This is a full time position. The position involves administering diagnostic testing batteries to a wide range of patients under the supervision of one of our neuropsychologists.

Qualifications:

A Master's Degree in psychology, education, or a health-related field is preferred. A Bachelor's Degree with psychometrist certification is acceptable in lieu of a Master's. The candidate ideally has prior healthcare and/or academic experience working with all ages of individuals, from pediatric to geriatric. A pleasant and patient demeanor is essential, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Schedule:

The ideal candidate will be available to work up to 5 days per a week, dependent on need, at any of our office locations. Appointment times vary by patient type, but typically begin in the morning and are 3-7 hours in length. The position may require travel between locations throughout the week. We have other locations that you may travel to once in a great while if needed.

Locations are:

Algonquin, Barrington, Chicago-Lincoln Park, Deerfield, Evanston, Hoffman Estates, Oakbrook Terrace, and Park Ridge. Training will occur for the first 4-6 weeks.

Compensation:

We provide thorough supervision and training with competitive compensation. Pay for a trained technician starts at $20/hour. We adjust compensation competitively according to prior technician and psychometrist experience. For applicants with no previous experience as a technician, training pay starts at $17.50/hour. Once trained, the pay will jump to $20/hour. Benefits are eligible for full-time employees after 30 days.
