Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students across Illinois as a contracted School Psychologist for the upcoming academic year! This rewarding opportunity spans multiple locations, including East Aurora, Algonquin, Carpentersville, and Hampshire, working with a diverse K-12 age group. You'll be part of a team dedicated to supporting the academic, emotional, and social development of students while collaborating with educators and families. This contract extends from August 3, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with a steady commitment of 37.5 hours per week.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) in School Psychology serving K-12. Master's Degree in School Psychology is required. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish/English is highly desirable, but not mandatory. Experience or strong interest in working with diverse student populations. Exceptional communication, collaboration, and assessment skills. Ability to provide comprehensive psychological services, including evaluations, counseling, and crisis intervention.
Responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions for students. Collaborate with school teams to develop and implement student-specific support plans. Assist with the development and review of IEPs, providing valuable input for educational programming. Offer consultation and recommendations to teachers, administrators, and families. Promote a positive, inclusive school climate and address the emotional and behavioral needs of students. Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines. In addition to a competitive pay range of $47.50-$58.75 per hour, you'll work in collaborative school environments that value professional growth and student-centered support.
