Job Description

A dynamic school district is seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional for a full-time, in-person contract opportunity as a School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role spans across an entire district, offering a unique chance to support diverse school communities and partner closely with educators, families, and fellow specialists.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in educational psychology or related field Completion of at least one year of internship under a credentialed school psychologist Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement Strong ability to communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practices
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to support student learning and behavioral needs Deliver direct counseling services, crisis intervention, and consult with teachers and families Actively participate in IEP meetings, developing recommendations and individualized plans Provide expertise in data interpretation to promote positive academic and social outcomes Design and implement prevention and intervention programs at the student, classroom, and school-wide levels Assist with district-wide initiatives to foster safe, healthy, and supportive school climates This role is full-time, with approximately 33.25 hours per week, and runs from August 17, 2026 to May 27, 2027.
