Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Travel This full-time, on-site position as a School Psychologist is available for the 2026-2027 school year in Steger, IL, with a start date of August 17. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, supporting two elementary schools: Evergreen Elementary and South Elementary. The role involves working closely with students requiring behavioral support, including those in specialized classrooms. South Elementary houses three Autistic Support Classrooms, while Evergreen Elementary includes two Emotional Support Classrooms. The caseload focuses on providing Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) services across both buildings.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating and scheduling functional behavior assessments and behavioral evaluations Developing, implementing, and monitoring behavior intervention plans Collaborating with educators, parents, and support staff to create and revise Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Communicating effectively with all stakeholders to ensure consistent and thorough behavioral support Continuously evaluating the effectiveness of behavioral strategies and modifying plans based on student needs Ideal candidates will have experience working in school settings with students on the autism spectrum or with emotional support needs, and a strong background in applied behavior analysis. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential for managing multiple caseloads and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams. This opportunity is based on-site in Steger, IL, and involves travel between two school locations within the district.
