Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting students' growth and well-being as a contracted School Psychologist in a dynamic educational environment near Waukegan, IL. Your expertise will help empower students and educators through assessment, intervention, and collaborative consultation. Key Qualifications & Experience:
Active state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist Proven knowledge of psychological assessments, educational testing, and data interpretation Experience developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) Strong communication and interpersonal skills when engaging with students, families, and staff Ability to provide comprehensive counseling and behavioral support services in a school setting Background in crisis intervention, behavioral consultation, or case management is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations to identify students' strengths and needs, including cognitive, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop, review, and implement IEPs Offer individual and group counseling, supporting students with diverse needs Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to promote positive learning environments Interpret diagnostic information and report findings to families and educators Contribute to Response to Intervention (RTI) strategies and progress monitoring Stay current on best practices and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies and regulations This contract position places you in an engaged, supportive educational setting where your insights drive student success.
