Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Exciting opportunities await for experienced school psychologists interested in making a meaningful impact throughout the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time contract assignment offers the potential to work with either junior high (7th-8th grade) or elementary (K-4) students, providing an engaging and supportive environment where your expertise is highly valued. Your core responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive psychoeducational assessments, supporting the special education evaluation process, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. You will play a vital role in facilitating domain meetings, EDCs, ARs, and assisting with manifestation determinations. Leveraging your strong knowledge of IEPs, 504s, DS, and MTSS processes, you will contribute to positive outcomes for students, educators, and families.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
Professional certification as a school psychologist Strong knowledge of IDEA and Illinois special education rules and regulations Proficiency with the MTSS process and special education evaluation timelines Experience in scheduling and running domain and eligibility meetings Ability to conduct and interpret assessments using Q-global, FastBridge, and Google Docs Prior experience managing and implementing IEPs and 504 plans Collaborative communication skills with students, staff, and families Key responsibilities: Work closely with educators and families to assess student needs and develop intervention plans Participate actively in IEP, 504, MTSS, and other multidisciplinary meetings Conduct evaluations and ensure compliance with established timelines and procedures Facilitate manifestation determinations and support data-driven decision-making for student services The assignment is full-time (35 hours per week), beginning in mid-August 2026 and concluding in early June 2027.
