Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a difference across an entire district as a dedicated School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, in-person position offers a rewarding opportunity to support students' social, emotional, and educational development from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027. In this contract role, you'll work district-wide, collaborating with fellow educators and administrators to make a positive impact in students' educational journeys.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in educational psychology or closely related field Completion of at least one year of supervised internship under a credentialed school psychologist Valid Illinois Professional Educator License Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills Experience in school settings preferred
Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological and educational assessments, interpreting results to identify students' needs Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for qualifying students Provide counseling, crisis interventions, and consultation services for students, families, and staff Foster positive relationships with students and support their social and emotional well-being Work with diverse teams to promote safe, supportive learning environments across the district Participate in meetings, ongoing professional development, and special projects as required This is a full-time, in-person opportunity designed for a committed professional eager to contribute across multiple campuses in a supportive district environment.
