Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Embrace an impactful role supporting students' success across a district-wide setting for the upcoming academic year. This full-time, in-person contract position for a licensed school psychologist offers the opportunity to make a real difference from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027. Enjoy a dynamic caseload serving multiple schools, providing vital psychological support and partnering with educators and families.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree (or equivalent) in educational psychology required Successful completion of at least one year of internship supervised by a credentialed school psychologist Valid Illinois Professional Educator License Strong communication and collaborative skills Knowledge of assessment practices, behavioral interventions, and special education processes
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments district-wide Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to develop appropriate interventions and student support plans Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide expert recommendations Support multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and crisis intervention strategies Counsel students individually or in small groups, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs Consult with families and staff to foster student well-being and a positive school climate Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation as required By stepping into this rewarding position, you'll have the chance to collaborate meaningfully with school teams, cultivate supportive learning environments, and contribute to academic and personal growth for students throughout the district.
