Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference every day supporting students' well-being and academic growth as a school psychologist in a welcoming Indiana district. In this pivotal contract role, you'll work closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to understand and address students' diverse learning, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Desired Background and Expertise:
Valid school psychologist certification or licensure (or eligibility for Indiana) Master's or specialist-level degree in school psychology or closely related field Proficiency in assessments, data interpretation, and report writing Strong knowledge of special education laws, response to intervention, and IEP processes Effective communicator with students, staff, and parents from diverse backgrounds Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy school environment and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
Administer cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments to students as needed Compile comprehensive written evaluations and assist with eligibility determinations for special education services Participate in IEP meetings, problem-solving teams, and RTI planning Provide counseling and interventions tailored to individual or group needs Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to develop positive behavior and academic supports Advocate for safe, supportive, and equitable learning environments
