$165,000 - $175,000 annually

Negotiable Position Overview We are seeking a Licensed Psychologist with strong clinical experience to provide mental health services in a correctional/detention setting. This role involves psychological assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, counseling, and interdisciplinary collaboration to support inmate mental health and behavioral care. This is an onsite role within a secure institutional environment serving both male and female detainee populations. Key Responsibilities Conduct psychological evaluations, screenings, and assessments Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support Monitor inmate mental health conditions and treatment progress Conduct rounds in segregation and confined housing units Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, physicians, social workers, and security staff Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case reviews Assist with behavioral management and confrontation avoidance strategies Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation Support mental health program development and staff collaboration Required Qualifications Doctoral Degree ( PhD or PsyD ) in Psychology from an accredited institution Active, unrestricted Kansas Psychologist License Minimum 2 years clinical experience , including 1 year in a comparable role Strong psychological assessment and counseling skills Ability to work effectively in a secure correctional environment Preferred Qualifications Prior Corrections or Detention experience Experience with crisis intervention and institutional behavioral health programs
Pay:
$165,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
