What You'll Do:
Conduct psychological screenings and assessments from clinical interviews and records review Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans for inmates Collaborate with a multidisciplinary mental health team, including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and security staff Perform regular rounds in housing units to evaluate inmate mental health status and adjustment Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and confrontation-avoidance strategies Consult with medical, mental health, chaplain, and security personnel regarding behavioral escalations and mental health changes Ensure documentation is thorough, accurate, and compliant with relevant policies
What You Need:
Active license or board eligibility as a Psychologist Minimum of 1-2 years of mental health assessment and treatment experience preferred BLS certification (or completion pending) compatible with CoreCivic standards Strong knowledge of psychological counseling techniques and crisis management skills Ability to work in a correctional setting with professionalism and sensitivity About the
