Job Description

Psychologist Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Psychologist to join our team at a correctional facility in Leavenworth, KS. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing exceptional mental health care and support in a challenging environment. Responsibilities include developing and implementing psychological service programs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and conducting assessments and treatments tailored to individual needs.
Main Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological screenings and assessments through clinical interviews and record examinations. Collaborate with other clinical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care. Create and adjust personalized treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations. Conduct regular rounds to assess inmate mental health and adjustment. Provide effective treatment using counseling theories and techniques. Deliver crisis intervention strategies and mental health assessments. Consult with staff from various departments regarding inmate behavioral and mental health issues.
Requirements:
Must be a Licensed Psychologist with a valid state license. Prior experience in clinical or correctional settings is preferred. Knowledge of psychological assessment tools and counseling techniques is essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse teams.
Additional Details:
This position requires onsite work; remote options are not available. Adherence to
OFCCP/EEOC
regulations is mandatory. A Signing Bonus may be negotiable. Desirable to have experience in Corrections or Detention.
