Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic role supporting students' growth and success across both elementary and middle school settings. This contract opportunity invites a skilled school psychologist to play a vital role within a collaborative, onsite education environment. Each day, your expertise will contribute to a positive experience for students in kindergarten through 8th grade, with a focus on proactive problem solving and holistic student support. In this assignment, you'll be a key member of building-level teams, working closely with educators to ensure effective interventions and crisis response, as well as conducting IEP evaluations and providing essential services. With placement spanning two neighboring schools, your impact will reach a diverse range of students and staff.
Requirements and Preferred Experience:
Valid School Psychologist credential or eligibility for Kansas licensure Experience working across K-8 grade levels preferred Strong knowledge of special education process, IEP compliance, and psychoeducational assessment Proven involvement in Student Intervention, problem-solving, and crisis teams Collaborative, communicative, and dedicated to fostering inclusive learning Comfortable working onsite full-time throughout the academic year
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive IEP evaluations and interpret assessment results Engage in and facilitate Response to Intervention (RTI) and Student Intervention Team meetings Serve on the Building Crisis Team, promoting student safety and wellbeing Provide direct and consultative services to support students' academic, behavioral, and emotional needs Collaborate with educators and families to create and monitor intervention plans This is a full-time, 37.5 hour per week position beginning July 30th through June 2nd, offering a stable, engaging work environment committed to student and staff growth.
