Job Description
Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in both elementary and middle school communities by supporting the academic, behavioral, and emotional success of students from Kindergarten through 8th grade. This on-site contract position offers the chance to work collaboratively across two adjacent schools, ensuring a dynamic and varied experience while building strong relationships with staff, students, and families. As a key member of your building teams, you will play a central role in problem-solving processes, Student Intervention teams, and Building Crisis Teams. Your expertise will also be essential in conducting IEP evaluations and delivering high-quality services aligned with each student's individualized needs. By working side-by-side with educators and other professionals, your contributions will foster positive learning environments and successful outcomes for young learners.
Qualifications and desired experience:
Current School Psychologist certification or licensure (state requirements must be met) Experience working within school settings, particularly with K-8 populations Strong knowledge of IEP processes, evaluations, and student services Experience with multidisciplinary collaboration and crisis intervention preferred Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Flexibility and adaptability within fast-paced, diverse educational settings Key responsibilities: Provide daily school psychology services as part of building teams Engage in problem-solving and intervention planning to support student success Participate in Student Intervention and Building Crisis Teams Perform evaluations for IEP eligibility and develop recommendations Deliver direct and consultative services as outlined in student IEPs Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff Perks of this opportunity: Opportunity to work with diverse student populations across two schools Full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week) for a full academic year Contribute to supportive school communities and professional growth Step into a role where your skills will shape lives and enhance learning for students at pivotal stages.
