Job Description

The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center and Certified Behavioral Health Clinic serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. We provide high-quality care to all individuals, regardless of their financial circumstances. Joining the team at TGC offers you the chance to make a meaningful impact on the most vulnerable members of our community. At our center, we offer a unique combination of counseling, case management, psychosocial, and medication services, all under one roof. We are deeply committed to our clients and are dedicated to implementing a comprehensive model of care. The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking a School Based Clinician to be the newest member of our innovative interdisciplinary team. This position is responsible for providing clinical services to students and families in local school districts.
Pay and Benefits:

Primary Duties:
1. Provide intake assessments and initial treatment planning 2. Provide psychotherapy (individual, family, and group) and on-going treatment planning 3. Make referrals to TGC's outpatient office for psychological testing, interpretation, and report-writing as needed. 4. Make referrals to TGC outpatient office to include medication management, case management, attendant care, and other services as needed. 5. Work collaboratively with school administrators and social work staff. 6. During the summer months, continue to provide psychotherapy (individual, family, and group) and on-going treatment planning at the outpatient office. 7. Provide daytime crisis services when needed. 8. Observe student behavior in the classroom when appropriate and provide feedback to teachers and others regarding student behavior. 9. Provide training to school district staff related to specific mental health issues on an ongoing basis. 10. Ensure that all clinical services provided are following clinical guidelines of The Guidance Center and regulatory bodies.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
AND LICENSURE
Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy or Professional Counseling, and Licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as a
LMSW, LMLP, LMFT, LPC, LSCSW, LCP, LCPC OR LCMFT
by the first day of employment.
EXPERIENCE
Required:
Two semester's master-level practicum experience in a clinical setting providing assessment and therapy services.
Preferred:
post master's clinical experience, and experience with the Kansas system of community-based mental health care and associated evidence-based practices.
