May 02, 2016 Basic Function Assists school administrators in meeting responsibilities of District Representative for Admission and Review Committee (ARC) meetings.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Schedule ARC's (Admission Release Committee) according to procedures and timelines. Chair designated ARC's as the district representative. Co-Chair ARC's when building principal needs to be involved. Input data at the school level into the district tracking system as well as state tracking system in Infinite Campus for Child Count, etc. Complete due process forms correctly and accurately. Assists school and district personnel in adherence to timelines. Assists in documenting adherence to compliance indicators using the Kentucky Compliance Record Review document. Assists with document management of referrals for individual evaluation. Maintain professional competency through professional development activities and/or other appropriate professional growth activities. Adhere to Professional Code of Ethics as established by the Education Professional Standards Board. Perform other duties as specified by the Director of Special Education.
Knowledge Of:
Ability to communicate knowledge effectively to others Ability to develop certified and classified staff professionally through effective coaching strategies In the various areas of due process including referral, timelines, ARC procedures, Least Restrictive Environments, etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Ten years' experience as Special Education teacher, Speech Pathologist, or School Psychologist preferred Master's Degree in Education or Certificate in School Administration preferred
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary and work year to be established by the Board of Education.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of board policy for certified evaluation.
