This position is responsible for the planning, implementation, and management of forensic mental health services while ensuring compliance with legal, clinical, and organizational standards. The Program Manager will provide clinical leadership, supervise forensic mental health staff, coordinate care with community and state partners, conduct forensic evaluations, and ensure the effective operation of competency restoration services. This role requires strong leadership skills, expertise in forensic psychology, and the ability to collaborate with courts, correctional staff, and multidisciplinary treatment teams. Essential ResponsibilitiesProgram Leadership & Management Develop, implement, and oversee jail-based competency restoration and forensic mental health services. Coordinate continuity of care with state hospitals, community providers, and criminal justice partners. Monitor program effectiveness and implement quality improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, contractual requirements, and organizational policies. Clinical Oversight Provide clinical direction and consultation to forensic services staff. Supervise mental health professionals, paraprofessionals, and student interns. Review treatment plans and programming to ensure clinical appropriateness and effectiveness. Ensure adherence to professional ethics and evidence-based practices. Forensic Evaluations & Court Services Conduct court-ordered forensic evaluations and assessments. Prepare forensic reports, recommendations, and documentation for judicial review. Provide expert testimony and professional opinions in court proceedings as requested. Collaborate with attorneys, judges, correctional staff, and other stakeholders regarding patient competency and restoration progress. Compliance & Reporting Monitor admission and discharge timelines to ensure compliance with legal requirements. Maintain, compile, and analyze forensic program data. Develop reports and presentations regarding program outcomes and operational performance. Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
