7:30 AM - 3:30 PM, 40 hours per week A school district in the Baton Rouge area is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a full-time contract position for the upcoming academic year. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with students, teachers, and families to support academic achievement, emotional wellness, and behavioral growth in a collaborative educational setting. Candidates with school-based experience are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments for students. Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to develop intervention plans. Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for student accommodations. Support students with behavioral, emotional, and academic concerns. Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district and state regulations.
Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Effective time management and organizational skills. Knowledge of assessment tools and special education procedures.
Qualifications:
Active Louisiana School Psychologist certification or licensure. Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology. Ability to pass required background screenings.
Experience:
Previous experience in a school setting preferred. Experience working with K-12 students is beneficial.
Education:
Master's degree or higher in School Psychology. Completion of an accredited School Psychology program. #p34
