A full-time school psychologist position is available in New Orleans, LA, offering a contract-to-hire opportunity within an educational setting. This role involves providing comprehensive psychological services to students, supporting learning and mental health needs, and collaborating with educators and families to foster positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results to guide student interventions. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with school teams. Provide counseling and behavioral support services to students. Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents regarding student needs and progress. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of school-wide mental health strategies.
Qualifications:
Possession of a valid Tennessee (TN) School Psychologist License. Experience in psychological assessment and counseling within school settings preferred. Strong communication and collaborative skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff. Commitment to professional growth and best practices in school psychology.
