School Psychologist Marblehead, MA Job Details Full-time 9 hours ago Qualifications Research Full Job Description Marblehead Public SchoolsSchool Psychologist Job PostingMarblehead Public Schools is seeking a school psychologist to be based at Glover School, a PK-Grade 3 school serving approximately 350 students. Candidates will engage in professional and ethical practice in accordance with federal, state, and local policies and regulations. School psychologists are members of the Marblehead Education Association; salary is in accordance with the collectively bargained agreement. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Support Student Learning:
Conduct psychological evaluations to identify students' emotional, behavioral, and learning needs.

Administer, score, and interpret psychoeducational assessmentsIntegrate assessment data into comprehensive reports to support the special education team processDevelop and implement intervention strategies to address specific issues such as learning difficulties, behavioral problems, and emotional distress.

Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create supportive educational environments and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 plans.

Assist in managing and resolving school crises, providing immediate support to students and staff.

Demonstrate strong interpersonal and consultation skills in order to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and familiesConduct observations and utilize data to assist in planning effective educational strategies for all students
Promote Mental Health and Positive Behavior:
Provide individual and small group counseling servicesPromote positive student communication, social skills, and peer relationshipsRespond to immediate student needs through de-escalation techniques, safety assessment, and/or crisis managementSupport social-emotional learning efforts, including positive behavioral interventions and restorative practices supports
Create Positive School Climate:
Participate in school-based teams including pre-referral teams, RTI/MTSS, school crisis team, etc.

Demonstrates sensitivity and skills needed to work with families, students, and staff from diverse cultures and backgroundsUse professional knowledge and evidence-based research to assist in developing school-wide programming and improvement plans
Strengthen Family-School Partnerships:
Partner with parents and guardians to support student progress, and ensure all families can effectively engage with the school communityConnect families with community services and collaborate with outside providersAny other duties as assigned by the Principal and Assistant Superintendent of Student Services.

Qualified applicants will hold a current DESE licenseExperience across multiple grade levels a plusUnderstanding of trauma informed practicesSafety Care CertifiedCommitment to fostering an inclusive milieuSchool Psychologists are essential in fostering a safe and supportive learning environment, helping students navigate their educational journey while addressing their mental health needs.
