Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a highly flexible school psychologist opportunity with a contract assignment beginning in the Fall/New School Year near Springfield, MA. This position offers a very part-time schedule—just a few hours each month—making it ideal for professionals interested in supplemental work rather than a full caseload. The primary need is to support the district following the retirement of the current school psychologist. You will focus on essential responsibilities including conducting three-year evaluations and providing clinical supervision for school counselors. While fluency in ASL is a significant asset and preferred for serving the school's diverse needs, it is not a requirement for this position. Onsite interpreters are available. Candidates comfortable with evaluation-only duties and clinical supervision are strongly encouraged to apply, regardless of ASL proficiency. What you'll bring:
  • Current certification/licensure for school psychology practice
  • Experience in school-based evaluations (especially 3-year evaluations)
  • Background or interest in providing clinical supervision to counseling staff
  • Comfort working independently with a low-volume, evaluation-centric caseload
  • ASL fluency is a plus, but not required — please indicate your proficiency if applicable
  • VOCO (virtual/teletherapy) eligibility welcomed
  • Prior school or educational setting experience preferred
  • Availability for limited, flexible interview times Role highlights:
  • Flexible, very part-time hours—a few hours monthly
  • Evaluation and supervision focus
  • Perfect for professionals seeking additional or supplemental work
  • Collaborative team with onsite interpreter support
  • Both onsite and virtual/VOCO options possible This is your chance to keep shaping students' futures on a schedule that works for you.
If you enjoy specialized assignments, can provide expert evaluations and supervision, and are open to virtual or onsite work, we want to hear from you! Submit your application today to discuss your fit for this valuable, flexible role. Compensation for this position ranges from $45.51 to $65.51.
