Administrator of Special Education Summary of Job Description:
Full-time School Psychologist to complete Psycho-educational evaluations for Team Meetings.
Qualifications:
Licensed School Psychologist in Massachusetts Masters Degree in School Psychology Experience with Educational and Psychological Testing for children
Duties:
Conducts Initial and three-year reevaluations Conducts all necessary psychological/achievement testing of students Conducts all necessary Functional Behavioral Assessments for students Completes assigned evaluations within mandated timelines Participates in IEP process by providing results to Team Chair and providing reports in advance of meetings. Participates in IEP team process and meetings by presenting and interpreting psychological evaluation results and by making recommendations Assists IEP team in understanding the impact of disability on learning Provides information regarding accommodations and/or modifications Follows District Special Education procedures and protocols Attends and participate in Special Education Department activities Attends and participate in District-wide professional development activities as directed by the Special Education Administrator Participates in Special Education Department and Building meetings Provides crisis/acute short term counseling/intervention for students in special circumstances at the request of the Principal and/or Special Education Director or Coordinator Consults to general and special educators, related service providers and parents regarding student support, management and other needs Communicates with Special Education Department, Building Principals, parents and outside agencies with regard to assessments Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education or designee
Pay Range:
$62,261-$109,727.25
