SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST
The purpose of this position is to have an individual who can assess students' abilities and needs through standardized testing and evaluations to provide data necessary for determining appropriate educational supports.

Education, Training and Experience:
Master's Degree from an accredited college or university. Licensure from the Massachusetts Department of Education as a School Psychologist.. Demonstrated subject matter competence, highly qualified, in the area of licensure.
Knowledge Required:
Currency in diagnostic and prescriptive evaluation instruments and techniques.. Effective presentation of findings orally and in writing.
Abilities Required:
Ability to evaluate students of all ages. Ability to administer required student testing and assessments.
Skills Required:
Effective testing management skills. Excellent listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
Supervision:
Supervised by principal and/or director.
Description of Duties:

Management of the Learning Environment Utilizes effective and varied diagnostic techniques and procedures. Utilizes testing materials properly. Teacher/Pupil/Parent Interaction Professional and Personal Qualities Adheres to the academic, ethical and social standards of the profession. Speaks and writes clearly, understandably and appropriately. Dresses appropriately and is well-groomed. Accepts constructive criticism. Applies suggestions for improvement. Uses confidential information for professional purposes only. Is equitable and sensitive and responsive to all learners. Teacher/Staff Relations
Salary:
As per the WEA contract. Ensure strict adherence to all state and federal regulatory timelines for completing and filing student evaluation reports. Maintain precise and organized assessment records to support accurate data reporting for state requirements and IEP development. Participate in IEP team meetings specifically for the purpose of interpreting and presenting evaluation data and testing findings to support placement and service decisions. Oversee the security, organization, and inventory maintenance of all diagnostic assessment kits and confidential testing protocols.
