Aug 20, 2026 Job Description Available late August 2026-November 30, 2026 A successful school psychologist at Winchester High School interprets a variety of psychological diagnostic tests and has comprehensive, insightful diagnostic skills. Knows specific approaches and tools to help students, teachers, and families better address all factors that interfere with the learning process; has experience working collaboratively to address student needs; writes IEP goals/benchmarks and progress reports, and collaborates in IEP meetings. Has an appreciation for students from diverse family and socioeconomic backgrounds; has an open mind, a sense of humor, and the ability to calmly approach stressful situations. Psychologist duties may include, but are not limited to: Student assessment, including administration of psychological evaluations of cognitive skills, attention, memory, social-emotional functioning, and student observation. Report writing summarizing psychological, academic, and other testing associated with initial, 3-year evaluations, as well as additional testing determined by the team. Participation in special education Team meetings, school mental health, and/or counseling team. Consultation with school administration, related service providers, general educators, and special educators. Counseling groups (social skills, friendship, etc.)

Attend department meetings, participate with colleagues as a contributing member of the school community, and contribute to school effectiveness. Be actively involved in professional development Winchester High School is a comprehensive high school that works to meet the needs of all learners. WHS serves over 1,400 students in grades 9-12 and post-graduate. We strive to create a well-developed curriculum that reflects a focus on the whole student as we endeavor to prepare all students to be ready and successful for any path they choose when they leave our halls.
