Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting student success as a School Psychologist in the Baltimore area. This contract position focuses on delivering top-tier psychological services on-site within a dynamic educational setting for the 2026-2027 academic year. You'll collaborate with educators and families to foster a nurturing and effective learning environment, while enjoying the satisfaction that comes from making a lasting impact on students' lives.
Key qualifications and experience:
Master's or PhD in School Psychology from an accredited program Active state certification or licensure in Maryland as a School Psychologist Experience working with school-aged children in diverse educational settings preferred Strong ability to advocate for students' mental health, social-emotional, and academic needs Excellent communication, assessment, and intervention planning skills Commitment to upholding district background check, fingerprinting, and employment history requirements as outlined by House Bill 486 Areas of responsibility: Conduct psychological evaluations, behavioral assessments, and interpret results for educators and families Provide counseling and support for students individually and in group settings Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs and intervention plans Deliver crisis intervention and support as needed Serve as a resource on best practices for supporting student wellness and learning Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations This opportunity offers a set schedule of 37.5 hours per week throughout the school year, ensuring consistency and work/life balance.
