Job Description

School Psychologist in Centreville, MD ProCare Therapy Centreville, MD 21617 Full-time, Contract Full-time, Contract Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into an impactful role this upcoming school year supporting some of the youngest learners in an engaging, nurturing environment. We're seeking a dedicated School Psychologist who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of K-2 students. This full-time, onsite position spans the entire 2026-2027 school year and offers the chance to collaborate with educators and families Monday through Friday, working 35 hours each week.
Key Candidate Qualifications:
Valid School Psychologist certification Experience or strong interest in working with early elementary (K-2) students Comprehensive knowledge of assessment, intervention, and counseling techniques for young children Familiarity with IEP development, RTI/MTSS processes, and legal requirements in school settings Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families Ability to work onsite and engage directly with students and team members
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments for individual students and groups as needed Support early identification and intervention efforts for learning, developmental, or behavioral challenges Work closely with general education and special education teams to design and implement individualized support Participate actively in eligibility, IEP, and multidisciplinary team meetings Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention services to students Facilitate parent and staff understanding of student needs and recommended strategies
