Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a real difference in students' lives as a school psychologist in a contract role conveniently located near North East, MD. Utilize your skills to support students' academic, social, and emotional success while collaborating with education professionals in a dynamic school setting. Your expertise will be essential in helping students meet their full potential. What you'll need: State licensure/certification as a School Psychologist Master's or Doctorate degree in School Psychology Previous experience as a school psychologist working with K-12 students Strong knowledge of assessment tools, counseling, and intervention strategies Proficiency in developing Functional Behavioral Assessments and IEPs Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Key responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students referred for assessment Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations to support student learning and wellbeing Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective interventions and educational plans Support the implementation of Response to Intervention (RTI) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss student progress and needs Provide crisis intervention and counseling services as required Ensure proper documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations This role offers the opportunity to contribute your knowledge and compassion in a supportive school environment, building lasting relationships and helping students overcome barriers to learning.
